Just what is our Constitution without respect for original intent?
The answer is that it is what ever our leaders deem it to mean. Witness the interpretations of the interstate commerce clause that only serve to strengthen the federal government.
The answer is that the Constitution becomes only those amendments our government wish to respect, read, or include. Witness the 10th amendment's attempt to reign in federal government and just how small the 10th amendment has become in the thoughts of governance.
Observing original intent would go a long way toward bringing the US back to its earlier strength.
Blaming the military is a knee-jerk action on the left. Clearly from the video above, Elena Kagan is knee-jerk liberal with no respect for the original intent of our Constitution. Absent that qualification Elena Kagan is unfit to serve on the Supreme Court.
Again, Elena Kagan is unfit for service as a Supreme Court justice for her lack of respect for original intent.
